Consultation continues at Kopu

Consultation with Carter Holt Harvey over their proposal to close the Kopu mill is continuing with members proposals expected to be collated for the company to review early next week.

In the meantime CHH will be sharing information with EPMU officials concerning the business plan behind the decision.

EPMU organiser Garth Elliot says the process is ongoing. “Things are just ticking over as we gather information and have a look at it but once the background work is done we’ll be back at the table with the company.”

It is expected that consultation will be completed by the 23rd of April.
