NZ Post negotiations resume this week off the back of hundreds of report-back meetings around the country where members have discussed and voted on the company's 3.75% pay offer.
The offer is expected to be rejected overwhelmingly as it falls well short of the membership's claim of 8% plus 8% over two years.
Negotiations will now head to the next stage, with the 27-strong team of elected delegates meeting Post management for two more days of talks this week.
EPMU postal and logistics coordinator Anna Kenny says the negotiating team brings with them a strong mandate from the report-back meetings.
"People have been very vocal at the meetings and expressed concern at the low offer made by Post in the face of having just posted a profit of $52 million.
"Workers are very, very clear that they've helped build this company by pitching in through the good times and the bad and the time has come to repay them with some decent wages.
EPMU representatives met with Postal Workers Union representatives at the end of last week to update each other on their respective negotiations.
EPMU negotiations will resume on Wednesday and Thursday at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Wellington.
