Unions to launch high performance work initiative

The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union and the New Zealand Dairy Workers Union will announce a major high performance work initiative tomorrow with the launch of the Centre for High Performance Work.

The Centre is a joint venture from the two unions that aims to engage with employers to promote high performance work practices in order to increase productivity and lift wages.

The Centre's advisory board includes Craig Norgate, Professor Nigel Haworth and Print NZ CEO Joan Grace.

Speakers at the launch will include EPMU national secretary Andrew Little, Minister of Labour Trevor Mallard and Business New Zealand chief executive Phil O'Reilly and will take place at the St. James Theatre, Level One, 77-87 Courtenay Place, Wellington from 8.15am.
