Union stalwart passes on

Ex-EPMU Auckland delegate Graham Smith has passed away.  Graham was the senior delegate for the old Auckland Electric Power Board for many years prior to the coverage by the EPMU.  More recently he was EPMU delegate at Formica (NZ) Ltd, now Laminex Group, in  Papakura until his retirement a couple of years ago.

More than 30 Northpower members and a number of members from Laminex came to pay respects to Graham in Papakura before he was taken to a family Marae in Ngataki in the far North.  EPMU National Executive member Remi Emery and Director of Organising Bill Newson (Graham's nephew) attended Graham's Tangi along with other EPMU members.
