PM visits Ezibuy

Prime Minister Helen Clark dropped in at Ezibuy's Palmerston North site last Wednesday to pay a visit to EPMU members there.

EPMU organiser Laurel Reid says workers were keen to hear Clark talk. "A lot of the workers were surprised at how down to earth she is."

In her speech to Ezibuy workers Clark talked about work rights and economic security - a regular theme of her recent speeches.

"We had a lot of members that really had a good talk with her and who hadn't realised how much she's in touch with the issue workers face," says Reid, "and there were quite a few who were keen to get photos taken too."

"What was particularly good was she recognised the EPMU onsite and congratulated members on joining."

The visit was part of a day-long tour of Palmerston North.
