Negotiations at Blenheim based aircraft maintence firm Safe Air have concluded, with members accepting a 27 month offer.
The deal is for a dollar an hour extra for licensed engineers and tradesmen and 4.1% followed by a further 3.9% at 15 months and a further 0.5% at the 21st month of the term.
EPMU organiser George Hollinsworth says the members are happy with the outcome. "This was voted in with a solid majority and represents a pretty good deal for our members."
The EPMU is also set to start working on a high performance work project with Safe Air using the recently launched and union-owned Centre for High Performance Work (www.chpw.co.nz).
