Delegate Forums kick off for 2010

5 March, 2010

The first round of Delegate Forums for 2010 is underway.

The Forums began in Wellington and Auckland this week, with another twenty to run through the rest of the country over the next month.

EPMU national education officer Ross Teppett says this round of Forums will focus on growth.

"There's a strong focus on union growth in this round, because as businesses start to recover from the recession it's important we get new employees signed up to the union and onto the collective agreement.

"We also have a lot of activity around the union elections, we're electing convenors, conference reps and other positions and developing remits for the July national conference."

If you're a delegate and you haven't registered to take part in your local Delegate Forum call 0800 1 UNION (0800 186 466) to get involved.
